The road to the modern ctl processor looks like it was a little messy, some of those things were really contraptions.

I look forward to the next major leap in the mechanized industry.  Weve  been with the single grip style harvester for quite some time now with no huge changes in concept.

Most of the development t has been with emissions standards lately.  Anyone running tier 4 equipment?

After watching that, I'd much rather have a $10k skidder and a $500. chainsaw and we'd all have a job.
Of the 30 yrs i logged, most of it was thinning. Most of our jobs were in the Cutfoot Sioux area, did a lot of camp grounds in the 60's.
Third generation logger, owner operator, 30 yrs felling experience with pole skidder. I got my neck broke back in 89, left me a quad. The wife kept the job going up to 96.
