I'm thinking about getting a Nyle L-53 in the near future so I am brainstorming on all things involved and I was wondering if anyone has converted a standard box truck trailer into a kiln. I know someone probably has used a reefer box but they can get pretty pricey. If you have please share some pics or knowledge on the subject.
Thanks

Rambo, I've done it for my Nyle 200.  It's not optimal, but it's doable.  In my instance I installe 1-1/2" for foam board with Tekfoil insulating bubble foam on top.

The biggest problem is that the ingress and egress is a pain, and the shape of the box fan is not optimal for uniform air flow.  I had to experiment with a lot of baffles to get the flow consistent.

This post from the archives will provide more info.  See reply 3.

Scott,
Thanks for that link. After reading it I realize I should have bought the 28' foot reefer box I saw on cl for 2800.00.

Good news is I am not in a hurry.
