I think everyone may have noticed that I'm a Johnny Cash fan by now ;D His music reminds me of the hard working men that have raised and instilled in me my work ethic. Happy 81st Birthday Johnny 8)

Hi Coach, the link isn't working... Hmm, I can copy and past videos from you tube if I copy the http: info on my video information page.
I would really like to see what you have going there.
This video is of Johnny in 1987, he has two guitars to choose from while he's doing a live performance. I've always just guessed it must have something to do with the feel of the instrument had at that current time and condition. Wood and music ;D

When asked what was his favorite song on an interview that I heard on National Public Radio, he said, "I walk the Line".

In some of the later interviews I remember Johnny Cash saying how if he's been born 50 years later he's be in a Punk band. It's just that when he started, there was no such thing. He WAS the "rebel" in the music industry at the time, and if he was starting out again, he'd be doing something totally different, both to his earlier music, and to current "mainstream".

The song above is a cover of a Nine Inch Nails song, who are a pretty "altenative" sort of Rock band. Not the stuff most people would have expected Johnny Cash to do, unless you knew the background stuff I mentioned.

I am also a big fan of Johnny Cash and traditional country. There is an event held in Minneapolis, MN each year called "Cash Only" that consists of a battle of the bands playing nothing but Cash music. This past month they held the 13th annual event. I made at least 8 of them. Bob Wootton has performed there a couple of times. he played with Johnny for 35 years.
