I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am that had one headlight that was really foggy/hazy looking.  I bought a 3M headlight refinishing kit today at Oreilly's for $23.  Did it tonight.  It's a 4 step process.  All you have to have is a drill to run the sanding/buffing disc.  It made a big difference in the headlight lens.  I did both sides.  Took between 30-45 minutes.  I think I can see farther down the road at night now.  I would definitely recommend trying it if you have cloudy headlight lenses.

Some of the kits do not include the last and very important step. You need to protect the fresh plastic from UV rays. The best is a spray on UV protector - i think made by 3M. Without it your good job of cleaning up the light will not last very long.

Many of the oil change places do that here with a full service LOF

Yes, it did recommend in the instructions to seal it with a UV protector.
