Has anyone ever converted an LT28 to electric?

I'm not sure that I would try, but I was wondering if anyone has converted their LT28 to electric.   I have the 18HP diesel which weighs about 200 lbs.  A three phase 10HP electric motor (Lincoln - totally enclosed) weighs about 200 lbs, so I think it could be done.  I'm not sure if there would be a performance benefit, but certainly fuel savings if you are connected to the utility.  A 15HP electric motor (about 280 lbs) would be too heavy for the head I think.
