donating a cord of hardwood to our Masonic Lodge. We cut split and delivered a cord of firewood last march to the Lodge. They raffled it off last night at a special. The Master called tonight, told me they made about 3 hundred on it. The winner was a brother that was there, he gave it to a family that needed it. The Lodge decided to give the money to a fund for a brother's kid's schooling. (they lost there mother about a year ago suddenly) The girls are about 8-10 years old.
So paying a little stumpage and a couple hours work looks like it payed off in a big way.
Myself and 2 other brothers did this.

Good Lord willing we can do it again this winter.

That's great just in Nov., I gave 30 tons of pulpwood to program called Log a load for kids. The money goes to a childrens hospitial in lousiville to help kids with cancer. It's not much, but anything helps.

What a wonderful way to get the Christmas spirit going.  There is nothing that compares with helping those less fortunate.
