Logs like this are like opening up a Christmas present

POSTON WIDEHEAD

I don't see a lot of logs like this, especially this large. And what would make a Pine fork out 12 foot up in the air is beyond me. But I knew it was gonna be some pretty grain.....and it was.

I'm thinking rich lighter kindling myself when I see something like that.

Since the lumber was for barn siding, I would have sawed that log a bit differently, and ended up with the crotch wedge as waste.   ;D

Oh I completely understand that because stuff like that gets in our eyes.  I was speaking for maximum production.
