My first guess would be Doug County.  But might be a yard up your way.  Maybe Weyerhaeuser Cottage Grove?

thecfarm

Like that loader too. Or is it a unloader?  ;D

You fooled me with that camera angle :D
My dad ran their log pond back in the day.  He said he would come home almost everyday smelling like skunky logs after falling in.  In the summer, it was common place to "slip off" the logs and take a cool dunk.  Sun Studs was one of the first mills in the nation to computerize their operation.  They have always been a very fast stud mill.

random length, 22-40 ft plus 12-14" trim.  depends on the mill spec, some mills out here go down to 12' +trim.  Nice whack of logs CC! that load come off the home place? or are you hauling for someone else? I was through there yesterday afternoon, we have a crew starting a fertilizer job for plum creek betweem camas valley and coquille.

You see abit of sapwood on some of those second, third rotation trees our plantation stock here had a 1 to 2" band at 60 to 80 years old  ;). whats wood like that running a ton  ???

It would not take him long at all need another couple of LT70s though  ;) dont worry about Jake  ;) :D I am still thinkin/dreaming of a mill on the West Coast we use alot of Douglas Fir in Australia  and its a very viable option ;)

I have never cut spruce or fir so there would be a learning curve of a couple of days so it might take me a week. :D :D :D :D :D
