I know I like looking at the pictures people post so I thought I would give it a try.  This is a log that was cut at the top of my driveway by the power company, 14 foot long about 28 inches across.

Nice 6/4 boards, 20 inches across and assorted 1 inch boards.

Mule pulled the log down hill great, uphill back to the mill was a different story, could not get enough traction.

If you do many more that size/length, I would get another steerable axle on the tail end.

Thanks for sharing the pics!  Very nice log.  How'd you get it onto the ramps? ???

The ramps were on the ground when I was loading them.  I use the winch on my log arch to roll them up.  The wood that the ramps are resting on I put about in the middle underneath them for added strength.  Had a 36inch white oak fold one in 2.  I always make sure no one is down hill from the log and it paid off that day.

Nice looking log and log trailer/skid.

Now that  you're a master at posting pics, would you mind posting a close up of the trailer/skid?  I'm in need to build something similiar and would appreciate getting a closer look.  I've already got the hand winch and the square tubing, just need to find an old axle to be the donor for that project.
