This one is even hard for me to believe.  :o

This past Saturday I started a new mobile saw-job.

The starting hours on my mill hour meter was 1,854.5 and the ending hours read 1,861.0, which equals 6.5 hours all together.

At the end of the day, we tallied up the days production, mostly 2x6x12, 2x6x16, 2x8x12, with a pile of wide 1" boards in there to!

The total tallied was 2,678.4 board feet.  Doing the math, that figures out to be 412.06 board feet per hour.

I used 3 Wood-Mizer 10° blades, so that averages 892.8 bf per blade!

WOW, my best day ever.  :)

EDIT: The customer took several pics and is/was supposed to e-mail them to me.  When I get them, I'll post some pics here!  ;)

Great Job Chuck!  that is an awsome day for sure. 
only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,

Nice production there Chuck! keeping the blade in the wood will get you those numbers. Good job!

The logs were White Pine & Hemlock.

The whole job was a "no metal" deal!  8)

Oh sure anyone can do that, I would like to see guy who can hit fourteen nails and only get two logs cut all day......Where is that mirror anyway.

Good work Chuck.  For the record folks, Chuck sharpens his own bands so he knows they are in good shape. He is also a vet of the US Air Force.....
