I have finally gotten tired of working in the sun. So I ordered a shed/pole barn like the one that WDH just got.

This is the start and finish of it.

My first logs and lumber under the shelter.



 
Two LT70s, Nyle L200 kiln, 4 head Pinheiro planer, 30" double surface Cantek planer, Lucas dedicated slabber, Slabmizer, and enough rolling stock and chainsaws to keep it all running.

Great shed, Jake. You don't have to saw in the sun or the rain, now.

This time of year, I think I'd be tempted to run some lights and saw at night. Of course, the bugs might be as bad as the heat.

Nice building Jake,If you have electric a big fan would be a nice addition,DanG skeeters get cought in the slipstream and overshoot you.Are you planning to close up any of it to keep the rain from blowing in.?? Frank C.

If it won't roll, its not a log; it's still a tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not trees.

Kiln drying wood: When the cookies are burned, they're burned, and you can't fix them.

Sawing is fun for the first couple million boards.

Congrats on your pavillion, but it always baffles me why guys that saw lumber opt to buy metal sheds.

the cheaper way of working out of the sun is, start working at night :D that nice big shed you got wont do diddle to keep me warm on cold winter days. ;D

Thanks for all the comments. Wise cracks and all. ;D   The shelter is 40'X100'.

The main reason for the metal shed is to have the 40' span in the middle. The other reason is that this guy does great work and I don't think I would have saved much money by doing it myself.
