We received the new band wheel belts theb old ones were flat across the new ones have a 1/2 ridge on top of the belt is this where the middle of the saw blade has to ride there were no instructions in the box how to install these let us know what the proper way to install should we run the same tension 4 turns on the crank of 180 degress which is 720 after blade tension which becomes taught. It seems that we are tuning the blade on half the surface as the old flat band wheel  in the past. The old ones became soft we think due to the washer fluid we run.                 Thanks Scott

Same as you tensioned it when new.  Remember botht the crown and the vee of the belt wear over time.  I replaced the drive belt on my ML26 today, no issues what so ever.

Good morning

Hamish is correct. The proper amount of tension is 8 half turns (or four full turns). I'd also suggest making your first few cuts when installing the new belts with the water turned off.

Any further questions, feel free to give us a call at 1-800-567-04040.

Have a great one

Got mine in recently, and had a heck of a time installing them.  I'm not sure if they're smaller than the old ones, or just have less stretch in them.  I installed them the same way the book recommends, but I noticed some small dented spots in the belts that I hope aren't permanent damage.  My main concern is that the thicker belt causes a larger distance needed for the band.  I've got a band on there that I now can't get off because my tension mechanism is at full travel.  Any suggestions?
