hi, i am looking for a general price range for what i should be charging for 5/4 x 10" wide x 107" long, red maple. i am aware that a lot "depends" on figure, amount of solid wood, regional variance.  i sell to retail customers in northern ohio through craigslist.  first time i have gotten spalted lumber out of a log.  thanks in advance for any instructive replies.

It depends on the quality of the spalt. I would guess 4-5 dollars a board foot. That is what we have charged. But it depends on your market. Remember you can always come down on price. Going up in price is a lot harder.

Welcome to the Forum Leonardo. Down here in the Carolinas, I'm lucky to get $2.00 a board foot.
The older I get I wish my body could Re-Gen.

I can sell regular red maple for $2.50 per BF to local woodworkers.  $4.00 sounds like a fair price.
