Called Woodmizer today about a debarker.  They told me my mill should have 45 amps or better.  Does this sound right?  Do you guys running these have a separate alternator other than the 15 that comes on most motors?  Cant remember where but I thought there was a picture of a small motor with a separate alternator and belt.

My mill has a seperate automotive style alternator, if that is what you're asking. I don't know how many amps mine is.

Rich;  My mill has a 106 Amp Delco alternator.

No way the charging system in the engine would be able to keep up with the feed, up/down, debarker and the hydraulics!
