koehring saw motor

i have a 97 model koehring 20 inch head and it has a rexroth motor with an external check valve, i need to replace that motor.  I found a used one that is built different and was told that it has an internal check valve.  It says timberjack f121407 on it does anybody know for sure?  I was told without a check valve that it could blow up the saw pump or the valve body.

The saw motor with the internal check valve will have the hose ports on the top of the saw motor instead of on the side. depending on what is wrong with your saw motor, You can take the head off your motor and install it on the timberjack motor. I would rather do that than have to deal with the hose swap.
