Oliver 199 24" planer, belt drive, SOLD!
« on: May 09, 2012, 09:16:23 pm »
I just got an old Oliver 199 planer from a friend (in his late 90's ;)) his health is ailing and thought it time to get rid of some stuff. I got this as a package deal, and I dont really need another planer. He used it at tractor shows. Three knife ball bearing safety head, segmented infeed powered outfeed roll. It has a four groove vee belt pulley to power it. He had it powered by a Wisconsin 4 cylinder which I may keep for a while to see if I "need" it. Could run on 5-10hp. Weighs 2400 or so. It has the grinder bar and traveller, no grinder (could retro fit one, bar and traveller are the hard part if missing). Only draw back is no feed rate adjustment, but this thing is pretty nice. Ole Arn! FF will get their %.

What is your zip code? I'll get a freight quote tomorrow and see if this makes sense.
Looks like a great unit. Bob
