Hey everybody!  I am wondering what other ideas may be floating around out there on ways to insulate my cabin.

This is the drawing i did on sketchup of it.  My last thoughts on how to insulate was to cover the entire building with plywood or asponite with the inside painted ahead of time so i don't have to bother painting around posts and beams afterwards.  Then use 1 1/2" strapping on roof and walls with Styrofoam  insulation between.  Then for the walls using board and batten and steel for the roof.  I am not sure if this is going to work that well though because for the steel roof i have read that you should have an airspace but i thought maybe i could get away without it or is that just a bad idea?  For the walls i am not sure where to use house wrap either, between asponite and strapping or between strapping and board and batten? I like the idea of insulating things from outside the cabin so you don't cover up all the hard work that went into it.
If you have any input i would love to hear it!!!!!
Thanks
Jeff

Personally, I think siding would look better on the inside rather than plywood.  You might want to check out this thread that contains an excellent insulation example:

Follow this link, http://www.classicpostandbeam.com/materials.php it shows how a commecial company builds a vented roof, without using sips.

That thread answers everything I needed to know, I am definitely going with the wrap and strap method!  It eliminates all problems I was thinking of, such as adequate air space under steel roof and still allowing me to show off the inside of the frame.  Thanks alot for all input, very much appreciated!
