The other day, I cut some 2 foot pecan logs for a good customer.  "2 foot and pecan" can be ugly words on a sawmill  :).  I did it because he was a good customer.  He had 18 of them, but we got it done.  Maybe next time, he will cut them 3 foot  :D.

"2 foot" longwise  :).  In the North, they call that "firewood"  :D.

Yes, up north, I don't think we ever called anything shorter than 6' a log. Maybe nothing shorter than 8'. If it was shorter it was a piece, a stick, or maybe a bolt (bolt-wood). I come down here and people talk about firewood logs, and they mean these itty bitty pieces of firewood. They also talk about a substance known as "barbecue" whereas where I come from a "barbecue" is an event. Oh well.

I saw where MagicMan invited ya to a Chicken Crispin'. Some would call that a bbq, others would say some bbq...

Both would probably be right.

Well, if he is generous enough to hold a barbecue event with some barbecue substance, I would see if I could go and help myself to a whack of it!  ;D  And I might even bring some okra and  make some gumbo (oh, now THAT is a substance!) to go with! I'll make my secret recipe.....  :P   :-*

I am starting to think you guys are hijacking my thread about the quality logs I get. :D Then again the food sounds better than those logs. Keep food talk coming.
