i am looking at these 2 saws and was wondering if they were any good or if they had any bad issues. i was leaning more toward the husky. i would be using it to fell and buck and cut into fire wood pieces
thanks Ian

I have a late model Husqvarna 350 and a later model Stihl 025. They are both in the physical size of the saws you are interested in.

In my case, my Husky has more displacement than the Stihl. Both are good saws but my Husky is more powerful than my Stihl.

In your case, the Husky 435 is a smaller saw than the Stihl 250. They are both good homeowner type saws. The Stihl 250 has a larger engine than the Husky 435 and therefore more power.

You will like the balance and feel of either saw.

I'd vote for a Echo Cs400, more quality and power than either the Husky or Stihl.    Steve

Ive had a 025 for about 10 years, I've put far more hours on it than I think it was ever designed for.  I couldn't be happier with it.  It has served me well.  never had a problem.  I've always ran an 18" on it, I think that it would do a bit better with a 16".  Whatever, I love my saw.
I cut it twice and it's still too short

Best of these type of saws is the 350 or 450 husky, either one is twice the saw a 025/250 is. Way better handling and will cut circles around the stihl

i picked up a 435 a few months back, i really like mine, not so shure about doing alot of felling with it, i'm shure it will, but i mainly got mine for smaller work, super light, very good on fuel, either saw should work well for you. ::)
