Just went out and bought a much-needed 28" bar for my 362 - I know the oil pump on it will BARELY handle that size bar if you don't push it too hard, but i also know the saw has enough grunt to handle a 32" bar if need be as long as you're not standing on it too..

Has anyone ever tried and had any luck with upgrading the oil pump on a 360/1/2 with the guts out of a 460R??  Alot of people say it works good...   ???

Also - while I was calling around looking for a shop that HAD a 28" bar on the shelf, I got told a couple times that Stihl doesn't recommend that size bar for the 362 (once quite rudely)... but it's ok for the 391... anyone know the logic in that one??

Stihl's web site shows a recommended bar length of 16 - 20" for the 391. (Less than the 362 25" max recommended).

That's what I thought too John....  Found it odd I had TWO dealers tell me that though.
