What is the difference?

I am trying to build a set of tools and I keep seeing Firming Chisels and Framing Chisels listed on websites and I was wondering what the difference between these two terms are? At first I thought one might be beveled and the other strait but I have seen both types listed as framing chisels. Is there a difference and if so what is it?
Thanks,

Jim_Rogers

Firming chisels are usually thicker in the body of the blade. And I think that they are not always as wide as framing chisels. But, I'm not completely sure about that.
I may have to do some research on that if someone else doesn't post the correct definition.
Whatever you do, have fun doing it!

Thanks Jim. I have seen 1 1/2" chisels listed both ways. I have also seen some chisels that are thicker so that may be the answer. I was just curious to know if there was a difference and if there was a different use for each type. Still reading and soaking up all I can. I want to get the best quality tools I can find but be reasonable about the money I spend.
