don't tile the floor and walls of your walk in cooler and then turn it into a dh kiln

the grout and mortar are so dry that the tiles are just falling off, every piece of tile in the cooler is loose and can be removed by my fingers. the plywood is shrinking , now there are 1/4" gaps at all the seams, and the caulk that was placed at any openings has cracked and is loose. I will have to remove it all and do something else.

wonder if that epoxy sealant that people use on their garage floors would help to stop the shrinkage.
or if that would crack and fall off too.
pretty funny when you look in there. thank god I didn't tile the ceiling. would have to wear a hard hat walking inside.

I think the common method of protecting plywood in a kiln is to paint it with aluminized roofing paint.   I did that 6 years ago and my plywood baffles and fan platform are still perfect.
Been there, done that.   Never got caught [/b]
Retired and not doing much anymore and still not getting caught
