Husky 372XP price review?

Hi everybody.

I was wondering how much you pay for a Husqvarna 372XP in the states, and in other countries too.


Here brand new , the cheapest i've found is 1142 dols. (829 euros)

A new 372 xpg here in Ontario was listed at 960.00 plus 13% tax

Well, i guess, i'm a stihl guy. But that 372 xp has dragged my eye, some log home "chainsawers" were using it, and it's certainly lighter than my old 045AV. On Rooves, to open veluxes or cuting rafters, it could be nice to have one. But i have soo much stuff to buy before that it's a bit out of my reach for the moment. Tried my local calssified site. Nothing much on the husky side.

 The very next day after I bought a 357XP there was a 372 on the local Craigs list that had cut two trees, and looked like it, for $400. I thought about it till morning nad the listing was gone. Day late......

Didn't the discontinue the 372XP and replace it with the 576?  I have a few of each breed but still don't have one.   Have not seen one around here for awhile for sale.

I think the new name is 372XT. I do know that the original 372 is NLA except for remaining dealer stock. The replacement is 72cc and a strato engine.

The 372xp is still available in Can., they sell for around $1100-$1150.  The 372xpw is about $100 more.

I thought the new strato 372xp XT and 365 XT are both 70.7cc and the 365XT is just detuned version now. The 272 version was 72cc before the 371.
Old 372 was 70.7cc also, unless it had the 51.??mm topend making it 74.66cc.

Picked up a 372XP on the shop shelf today.

Worth 882 euros. I wouldn't put my money in this one, seems to weight a ton. I don't get it. THey anounce the saw for 5,2kg. I might go for smaller, as i'd like a lighter saw for roofing.

The prices you guys are quoting; Is that with the bar/chain? or Powerhead only?  There is usually about 75-100 dollar diff. in price with the bar/chain, than without.  I bought mine from Baileys when they were able to sell them through their catalog sales, and paid $569 or something like that, (2006 price).

Unfortunately for $1100+ you're only getting the head.  That said I looked at a new one last year with a 24" b/c for about $1050.  But thats here.  If I could buy good pro saws for almost half price I'd have a few more.
