Hello friends!

I made a new design with the function of the drying chamber thermo wood.
Loading capacity 15 m3, installed power 36 kW. The new chamber design to increase load volume of up to 40 m3. Installed power 72 kW.
The drying time of heat treatment beam diameter of 230 - 320 mm in 7 days.
What gives the thermo wood?
Average humidity of the samples thermally modified wood of birch is 2.8%, and unmodified wood samples humidity 7.4%; thermally modified spruce 5.8%, and unmodified wood samples moisture content of 7.4%.
The base density thermomodified birch wood at 2%, and spruce - 20% higher than the density of the unmodified wood cuts and Be ¬ ate, respectively.
Shrinkage of the modified tree  Sina birch 30%, spruce - 13% lower than the shrinkage nemodifitsiro  bathroom birch and spruce, respectively.
Swelling of modified birch at 46%, and ate - a 19% lower than the swelling of the unmodified wood.
(Laboratory of Moscow State University Forest) 2011.
I showed a sample of thermo tree house in the Crimea, the Black Sea.
(Carpinus) Decking made from thermo hornbeam.
Conclusion: Thermo wood - super wood!

I will answer questions.

Serg,

To come to America you must apply to the US embassy, in Moscow. They have information on their website. My wife is from Volgodonsk. If you need a translator, contact me.

ellmoe. Thank you for your help!
There is good news! In Russia, the U.S. began to bring a lot of ash. Ash beautiful, high quality! In Russia there is a problem with oak and ash, maple needs. Ash goes in my termoo installations and is sold with good added value.
I think a lot of friends on this forum make ash or oak, maple. We see that America and Russia on a tree can have a good business!
Photo. American ash after thermal.

you first and maybe second or third shipment of any lumber from overseas will be impounded by customs for more than six months while they run it through inspections and quarantine.
The warehousing is done at your expense and  you can't get you shipment until they are done.

You need to do some serious advance research on shipping and doing business in the USA before yo start throwing money at the thing.

Worse: Housing in the US is never going to rebound. Not in out lifetimes anyway. To have a rebound we need both a burgeoning economy and  a  new Baby Boom  (either that a or a several  million well to do Chinese  moving here and looking for housing).  The demographic that drove the last housing boom is retiring and reducing their footprint. The demographic of new people coming up is not having more than two children and most only one and a great many none.

There are going to be a lot of empty houses in the US for decades.

Elena

Hello, let me join to your conversation. I am working with thermally modified wood (studying the properties of the product). You are absolutely right, that the problem of the crisis will be long years! As for Russia now we need to build a 150 million m2 of housing. However, today is building not more than 55 000 000 m2 of housing. By the way, in the past, America and Canada were building wooden houses. However, the problem of drying of thick logs and timber assortments was not solved. Fortunately, today we can not only dry thick assortments but also thermally modify it, which gives an opportunity to protect wood from the external environment, wood-destroying fungi and insects without any chemicals! Now it is possible to saw and dry wood, even in bark! in any region of Russia, Siberia, and then build a unique houses with manual round-log construction. This is an interesting and environmentally friendly work. Thermally modified timber can be used in the U.S. for example for repairing of houses and buildings. Of course the volume of production is less, but the quality is much better.

Hello, friends!
Crisis, the decline of the economies agree. Maybe in 50 years, my work is useful grandchildren ???. W = 8.5 %

Den Socling

I agree with Buck. That is beautiful work.

Friends! Dear Buck, Den!
I am thankful to Jesus that he gave me the first to do this job, I am grateful to all of you American friends who understood me. I am grateful to Russian professors who taught me.
I am honored to take the examination before the American Forestry specialists. Thank you all!
Now I do not know what to write on, the board will just communicate what and where was built of wood thermo.
