I just bought a Jonsered 670 champ and I am wondering what is the longest guide bar you can run on this model? I just want an opinion from a few good experienced woodsman. Thank you.

Considering you didn't get an opinion from a  good experienced woodsman I'll give it a shot .  ;D

Oregon makes a 42 incher in 3/8 pitch.
GB is capable of making special- or custom-designed bars on request.

Now that Kevin has told you what is possible :)
What do you intend on doing with the saw? :P

I have a 60" Cannon double ender...you could put a 670 on each end:D

I intend on using the 670 for my tree removal jobs and firewood cutting as well. The Jonsereds staff have said 24 maximum recommended length. I kinda think, that with 4.9 HP you can put a LOT more than 24 on it though. What do you think?

A  24"-28" bar would pretty well max that saw out for performance I would guess.
You could go longer but the power would drop off considerably.

With a 24" bar, you could cut upto almost 48".  8)
