Texas Ranger

Not a clue, although I recognize it.  Oh, here it is.

Day Flower
Scientific Name: (Commelina erecta, Spiderwort Family (Commelinaceae)
Definition: Day flower grows up to 24 inches on a somewhat sprawling, slender stemFlowers are small, about one inch across, and close early in the day. Flowers range from purple to a blue violet. Flower head ia made of three petals: 2 petals of equal size, and a third that can hardly be seen. Buds cluster at the end of the stalk and then open one at a time. Blooms May - October.
