Hi

I want to replace the grapple on this truck with a bypass and continuous rotating model.  I would be happy with a good used one or new.  I don't know where to start looking.  I want one with the same weight capacity and weight.  I think the one on there weighs around 450lbs, as far as lift capacity i don't know.  All I know is that it will lift 3000lbs all the way out.  What grapple would you recommend for me.

Thanks

Woody

Robotec makes one of the best grapples on the market. If you search around they are available used.

yea I really like rotobec grapples but I am not sure they make one light enough.  the lightest one i can find on their site is around 900lbs. the rotobec on my barko at the mill has over 11000 hrs on it and I just replaced the rotator  motor on it last week.  it is one tough unit.

I think it may be a problem to find one that won't take away your lifting capabilities.

I just purchased a new Valby GR55HD with rotator  for my single axle truck. I hope to have it mounted later today. I think one of these would fit your truck fine. Iowa Farm supply has them on there web site for $4199 with free shipping.

it looks like it would do the job.  let me know how it works out for you.  if all goes good for you i will order one in a few weeks.

Hi Huzzey,

The truck weighs 19300 empty and full of fuel and I have it licensed for 38000.  I can only axle 34000 legally. that lets me put about 1300bf on it.  most of the time it has 2000+ bf on it (dont tell DOT)  i have a lift axle to put under it I just need the time to do it.
