Found this Bellsaw Edger down in Tennessee and bought it and brought it home.
It had been stored inside a metal storage building and had a small amount of rust
on upper side of some parts but it had never been set up and never run. All bearings
were in good shape and turned freely. The adjustible blade also moved to and fro easy.
The blades were still coated with factory grease (cosmoline) with paint over it. Has two
12 inch blades.

I had one of those.  :) Brings back memories. Looooong time ago. I think I gave $200 for it and right now I can't remember who I bought it from or what the circumstances were. I never used it. I passed it along and the next guy put it on a frame and added power and actually ran quite a bit of lumber through it. Hope it works out good for you.

Is the general rule 5 hp per inch being cut per saw.
Life is too short or my list is too long, not sure which. Dec 2014

Yep ...and maybe a little extra for the feed if you have it to spare.
