This grows into a large bush with bark on the trunk and branches.  It has white flowers and violet flowers at the same time and I have seen some 15 feet tall.  The flowers are used by the locals as a natural LSD.

Any one know the real name ?

LSD comes from a fungus, ever here of magic mushrooms? But it's pure form is synthesized. I've read of 3 species of morning glory with LSA (Lysergic Acid Amide), 2 native to Latin America. It's in the seed. Have no idea what your plant it. This may be in your unidentified plant flowers.

Yes I have heard of majic mushrooms.  A friend used to put them in small chocolate breasts for candy for his friends.  One day some kids got in his refrigerator and ate some and almost killed them.  Thier little minds were flying around for a couple of days.

Another friend did not know about this flower and gave some to his pet spider monkey and the monkey after 3 or 4 years now is still crazy.

This is also the Auyahuasca capital of the world.  This is a vine that is abundant here and thousands of tourists a year come here to drink a liquid made from it and see visions of the future and talk to thier ancesters.  The affect is visions on how to better life and similar to LSD they say but much stronger and they all have severe diarrea and vomiting as a result.  For this they pay several thousand dollars to go thru a ceramony with a witch doctor who is a specialist in this plant.  All is a bunch of reasons to get high, nothing else.

I have never tried any  drug as I can get crazy enough on beer .  Don´t need any thing else.

In general this is the vice capital of the world 500 miles from the nearest road.

Here are a couple links about the area here.  This one is  written by an American that passed thru.
This is quite long but probably interesting.

Ayahuasca link:
This fellow is a friend of mine and sells the Ayahuasca program to a lot of people every year.  He doesn´t take it anymore as one night he and his adult son took a bit to much and were beating thier heads on the tile floor of his house .  The maid ran up to the restaurant where we were having a beer and in a panic told us what was happening.  Several guys went down to the house and tied them up like a mummy and threw them in bed to come out of it.  The next day they were ok but now he only explains the benifits of it but doesn´t use it.

Jim,

Those look like Vinca to me. I have some around the house myself. Some will get pretty tall but not that tall and somewhat woody on the stems.

The flowers also look like oleander but I can't see the leaves. Oleander is a poisonous plant and do grow to 15 feet easy. They have the along the highways here.
Oleanders also get a worm the eats the leaves which nothing seems to kill.

Raider Bill:  I looked up Vinca and that certainly could be it.
