New Edger

We put a new edger in the operation today.

Here is the old one on its way out.  this old girl has well over 12 million bf through it with only one rebuild and it was still running every day.

We unpacked the new one,  pulled out the old one,  hooked up the new one,  and tried it out in 3.5 hours.

The old one was a cooks that did such a good job for us that we thought we would go right back to them when we needed a new one.  We had them make a few changes from their standard edger for us and all went well.

They upped the feed speed by 25% and added an extra saw.  When we went from the LT 300 to the new 3500 the old edger would not keep up.  It would have kept up with the 3500 alone ok but we are feeding one edger with a 3500 and an LT 70.

Well the new edger is 3 hours into its first day and it looks like it is going to be a winner
