Trying to decide which coating to get for the solar kiln I'm buiding. Being that I'm going cheaper and using OSB instead of ply, I would lean toward the cheaper one but I also dont want to replace the osb in a year or less.

The asphalt coating is about $40 a 5 gallon, and is black so it will also act as the absorber.

The aluminum is $55 and will have to be painted black so another ~$10 a gallon for black paint.

Both are fibered.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Pyro, I think you will find that the aluminum coating is just the black stuff with some powdered aluminum mixed in. Go withe the black...
