What is attacking the Asiatic pines out West?

I just read an article about a new pathogen attacking trees out west.  Anyone know what it is?

Good question.  the article I read did not mention anything else but asiatic pine.  Let me research some more.

What I could find is that they're white pine from Asia.  Sounds like an ornamental species.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
