Hi,

does anybody know where I can send my Lucas blades to be retipped in or around maryland and how much they cost?

I have the retipping jig and sharpeners etc but I just don't think I am ready to try that yet until I have more experience.

thanks

Nothing to offer in MD but I'd also like to find a good place nearby (I'm in CT) to send my Peterson blades.   I talked to the owner of this company http://www.sharptool.com/ in  Hudson, MA (not too far)  who said they'd re-tip  and retension a 6 tooth Peterson 26" dia. for $50.     Also BH Payne in GA said they do it too.

Country Saw and Knife, Salem, Ohio. They service the commercial mills in this area. Seems like they do about anything. I have dealt with them on some small stuff.

Peterson has Country Saw & Knife on their list as recommended by at least one of their mill owners: http://www.petersonsawmills.com/flyers/Blade_Article_Maintenance.pdf
Still none in MD though.

thanks guys :)

I am going to send them to Country Saw and Knife... just had a chat with John over there and he seemed like a really nice chap.  Quoted me $2 per tip.  Thanks again and I will post on here how they are when they come back!
