My family and I usually host a New Year's Day BBQ.  Today we must have had 150 people show up since the weather was good and we took the past two years off.  I began cooking last night at ten to get everything ready for a late lunch at two.  What surprised me was the interest in the sawmill that a friend and I recently purchased.  We must have walked out to the saw mill shed 10 times to show folks the lt 28.

The guests went through some groceries too.  Each guest brought a covered dish or dessert and I cooked 140 lbs of pork butts, nine slabs of ribs, six chickens, 10 lbs. of sausage, and some sausage a friend brought made out of a mixture of mule deer, elk, bear and pork fat.  The only leftover meat was pulled pork.  A couple of good friends saved the day helping slice ribs and cleaning up afterwards.  Black Cherry was used to smoke the meat.

If any of you find yourself in central Florida next year on New Year's Day, come on out and grub out with us.
