after many years of service and a couple of rebuilds, I've decided to replace my old Rigid planer with a new 15" Grizzly. I went the extra and coughed up for the helical head. Sure hope I did the right thing. Merry Christmas to me.

Running to the electic depot because your planer didn't come with a plug?

Looking for an empty breaker in your panel?

Wiring a 220 outlet?

Going back to the depot to get a plug that matches the outlet?
I do what the little voices in my wife's head tell me to do.

I love my 15" grizzly planer and have the helical head as well. Planned boards are as smooth as could be and dust collection works great when hooked to it. Hardly have any shavings to clean up at the end of the day

Wild guess here, reading up the to-do list and saying something like yes honey ...  ;D

I had all the right plugs so was good to go there. Used the back hoe to unload it. Took a while to find enough chains though. They seem to walk away pretty regular around here. Got it unloaded and in the shop. Putting it together by yourself takes a little time. Finally got it all done though. Only ran a couple of pecan boards through it to test it out. Runs real quiet and like a hot knife through warm butter on the 12 " wide pecan I ran through. Only to 1/16" cut but was still impressed.

Butter always makes things slicker :D :D
Making smooth boards is nothing but fun.  Glad your new "toy" is doing you proud.
