Pandigital Novel.  It is supposed to something like that Nook thing Bibbyman bought Mary.  In fact it is associated with Barnes and Noble.  I am posting with it now, but for the most part it has me stumped.   I want to download from the Gutenberg.org free project built Chris a cedar porch swing that turned out pretty nice.

A new pair of boots - I wore a hole in the tread of both my old ones, and I was tired of getting wet feet any time I stepped in snow or water. The leather shop wanted almost what I got them for new, just to put new soles on. So guess what mom, I want some new boots for Christmas ;D cut_tree

Got 2 Stihl hats and calfskin gloves, a new wheelbarrow and a bunch of candy.   Can tell she thinks this means the old wheelbarrow will be thrown out. But it's only 25 yrs old and rusted out and there are wood shims sticking out either side underneath and the tire needs air but it carries wood just as well as the new one now i can have 2 loads of firewood next to the door.  8) 8) Best thing is the 2 kids came home from school to see us.

Heck, I built a 4'x4' pallet and stacked it high as I could with firewood and sat it next to the door with the tractor, along with the 3 wheelbarrows.

Heck, I might as well put all of it next to the door :D

:D :D  Looks  :o  that way.  Nah, getting ready for Colorado, October 2011.  This year we found elk too far from our base camp to hunt in one day.  Our plan is to set up a spike camp about 2 miles in.

It should all work out unless a couple of Grandsons find that stuff this Summer.   :D

I guess I have been bad this year.  Santa has not been able to find our house yet.  I think he may be on his way though.  Our son left northern Minnesota this morning and should be here sometime this evening then hopefully Santa will find our house tomorrow.

Got a generous gift certificate for LL Bean, because...... they were out of everything my wife wanted to get me, and they don't order more until next fall! I ran into that a lot ordering on-line. I think retailers under-stocked for fear of getting stuck with a lot of un-sold merchandise. Now I have to decide what I want from Bean, or wait for 8-9 months.
I hope my ship comes in before the dock rots!

My old F900 Cannondale hardtail mountain bike was just about worn out from so much riding it, so I had it rebuilt, to the tune of about 500 dollars, new chain, sprockets, crank, hydralic brakes, derailer, tires...

Not bad since it originally was 2,000 dollars. Rides like a dream. Back to be a better bike than I am a cyclist.  8)

We have radios in the bush as part of safety. We hardly use them much, but they are there. I have a couple Motorolas. I have  portable Cobra CB as well to hear trucks, no cell phones off the 4-lane and main river valley. I have an air compressor dad got me a few years back with about any tool you could want including a paint gun. Used that for the first time painting the front door this summer, some slick. Most of the tools I have not used, except the air pistol for blowing dust and dirt out of stuff or tire pump fitting for putting air in the wheel barrow tire once a day when stacking wood. :D

Stacey might have a word or two about that last statement. ;)

Amongst the gifts the grand kids got were pocket knives, bb guns, two paintball outfits, hatchets, and compasses.  I was giving them a hard time about the chances of an ER visit in the near future, and telling them they better leave the loot with me.  One looked at me and said, "From the look of that finger, I'd say  we better keep it ourselves!" (I mashed a finger nail off and broke the finger on a bale ring a couple of weeks ago.)

Mary and I got her a Nook e-book reader about a month ago.  She got a big box of 15 puzzles under the tree.

Wednesday before Christmas I got a top-end Sony Blu-Ray player with wireless internet capability.  We got it home and couldn't get it to connect to the internet.  After a couple of hours working with tech support and still not getting it to connect,  we gave up.  Mary took it back on Thursday morning and got a $50 Sony DVD player that upscaled to HD and an HDMI cable.   I've very pleased with it so far.

Anyone know why HDMI cables costs so much?  $50.00 for the brand-name player with lots of features yet it cost $34.00 for the cable!   I know there are less expensive ones out there but that was the lowest cost ones they had there at that time.

I got a Black&Decker power screwdriver under the tree and a Gene Autry CD.

Christmas is a time of giving and shared Joy. My Son (15 YO) gave me a hand written Christmas Card and his word's touched my heart, very much so. My X that still is my Gal and we have always been together... even after the Xing (sort of hard to figure out the X part & not parted).  I got her Boots and Elec. heater to help heat her room, because her room gets less heat from the hot air system.  I got my Son some Games, New IPod and Audio Speaker Sys., Husky Safety helmet w/ face shield and ear protection and steel toe wook boots. I got under wear, socks and Levi Jacket. I got the bills and it ain't no problem... it's all about giving and youngin's.

I do have one small complaint, I sent the X out for a live Christmas tree and decorations, I gave here $ 200.00 bucks. However, I got a area rug that was marked down for $ 180.00 and No tree or decorations. The area rug looks like something that should be marked down another $ 150.00 and I don't want it in the house.  I went to my room and steamed and made a couple posts on the FF and spent most of the day reading the FF and channel hopping on TV to keep my cool.

This is the 2nd Christmas without my Dad, he passed away 12 Dec., 2009 and it wasn't a great Christmas last year. I don't remember a thing about my 2009 Christmas. I was still in a daze, in mourning and mind blocked the remainder of Dec., 2009. This year I did my best to  Off Think  his death on the 12th. He (Jack) died a suffering type death and this makes it much worst to accept & lot's more to the story.

All in All,  I thought about how he lived his entire life. He loved life and was a Man's Man. I kept thinking of his Million Dollar Smile and how he radiated human warmth and life spirit to others. I thought about how he would have wanted me to carry on (full of life) my life and mentoring my Son. These Hearted Thought's of my  Dad  helped me get through this  Christmas  with some Personal Smile's and Fond Family Memories of Yesterday.
