Toolless chain tensioner

I recieved my 2 new saws 365 special and 236E, very happy with them! just one problem the toolless chain tensioner on the 236E, is more hassel than its worth, its hard to get good tension and I have to remove my gloves to operate it, I could do the job in a fraction of the time with the usual Tool. Does anyone know if you can pick up the cover plate for this saw that will do away with the toolless design so I can go back to the convesional method of tensioning the chain?
