I found another Metate this past week.  I was clearing my woods roads and saw it sticking up out of the loose dirt.   :)


I love finding Indian artifacts.

Yup, it's really smoothed out in the grinding concave.  Almost polished when compared with the rest of the stone.

Ive got a pile of rocks here. Found packed home .Some large some small .  I think mostly plant material . I however can find that material day in and out. But never a field point  or anything hand made.
