I don't understand that... what you showed on your pic for 9/16" line looked to me like it was a choker slide for a 9/16" cable choker. Can't you get the entire choker for a lot less, here they sell for about $16 for a 6'. I have a whole bunch of them slides out in the shop from worn out/broken chokers I know I could send them to you for a whole lot less than $40 apiece even if your 1/2 way around the planet :D
I normally save them when I go to get new chokers the place that I buy from will give you a couple bucks apiece off the price of new chokers.

I sent a five gallon pail of those to the scrap guy. I'd have given them to you.

It's handy to have a few around I like to weld them on various pieces of equipment in strategic places so you have a convenient place to hook if you need a pull. Also have some welded on the skidder fenders to hold the chokers your not using. When I buy new chokers I like the ones made using the old slides because they are already smoothed out on the inside sometimes new ones its hard to get the knob through.

The older ones which were made in canada are better made.  The china made ones are actually not that bad.. They all seem to be either good or bad as far as the cast goes.. I had some esco usa ones which all seemed to just break. I guess you get can get a good batch or bad one regardless of where they come from. No one around here offers a core on them.

weisyboy

cant buy ready made chokers, if you wanted to sell any spare ones let us know.

austalia isnt setup for loggers, there isnt a wide spread network of small time loggers/sawmillers to demand a market for this stuff.

i just baught a new cylender assembly for my 3120, $350 from balies $680 in brisbane. crank case bearing $8 from balies $48 in brisbane.

I cut up old chokers and returned the bells to the local supplier, they were good about re using them as we bought a whack of wire rope from them. The manufacturer could never supply enough hardware to keep them going.
Are wire rope suppliers scarce in Oz?.

i can get wire rope, chain and all the lifting hooks but no forestry stuff.

i have tried and failed to get all of the folowing.

tractor winches, graples, cant hooks, barking bars, wedge pouches, sawmill equipment (benches, spindles etc)

most i have ended up making.

iv thaught about starting up a bussiness selling the stuff, but i dont have the time or money for sompthing like that.

I ship internationally all the time as I deal in used/rare books.

For an usps international flat rate box it is:

USPS Supplied Small Box: 8 5/8" x 5 3/8" x 1 5/8".
Maximum weight 4 pounds. $12.78

USPS Supplied Medium Box:
13 5/8" x 11 7/8" x 3 3/8" or 11" x 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".
Maximum weight 20 pounds. $41.28

I'll send you some slides if you only need 4 they might fit in the small box it would be close. Would fit in 2 small boxes for sure. Small stuff like that isn't a problem only heavier/larger packages get real costly real fast.

weisyboy

great mate,

4 will be good.
