I had someone call today wanting a price to cut some jatoba logs.  I need to know how they will saw compared to some of our local hardwoods.  Anyone with any experience?

I have never sawed logs but I work with Jatoba regularly in my shop. It's very hard. It's much harder than anything I have cut from the states except for desert ironwood, which seems harder. It's all dry by the time I work with it so i'm not sure how it is as a log. One thing I love about it is the stability. I hope this helps. I'd be interested in hearing how it saws in log form if you don't mind giving a short review once you cut it.
