Our 10 month old daughter Rayne could use all the prayers she can get. She was sent to a childrens hospital in Halifax, NS in August. She keep getting infections that she could not fight off herself. Tomorrow we will be receiving the official results from all her blood test. Blood was sent to Cincinnati, Toronto and Germany. The doctors are 99% sure it is Severe Congenital Neutropenia or Kostmann syndrome (1 in a million). She is unable to produce neutrophils in her white blood cells that fight off bacteria infections. If they are right, there is no cure but there is treatment. She is receiving treatment now, its a daily injection of G-CFS.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I'm hoping they are wrong and its something else. Once we receive word, i will update this post.

For this reason i haven't been on here that much and the camp has been pretty much on hold. Once we get throught this, hopefully our lives will get back to normal and we can enjoy the outdoors again.

Thanks

We are back from our 11hrs return trip with not much to report, not all the test results were in except for one.

She tested negative for Fanconi anemia (which is good) but the docs were pretty certain she didn't have that.

We have to wait a few more weeks for the Kostmann result.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your thoughts and prayers, what a great much of people here at FF!

i've attached a picture a Rayne and her big brother Hunter.....all smiles!
