Began sawing ERC 4X4post today for privacy fence and was wondering if i leave some white or sap wood showing above ground level if it will last ok? Or should all sap wood be removed? Thanks in advance for your ideas. bg

Above ground, I wouldn't worry about it.  The sap (white) wood will rot first, but hey, something's gotta go first.
