the easter rabbit dropped off some oversize eggs.

After six months of back and forth we bit the bullet and moved up in the food chain from handfell/process.

Koehring Tracked Harvester with Rosin Processing head. Ugly and built like a Sherman tank.

Package deal of a CAT525"A" and a 322BL.

Most our work is smaller pine plantations producing cut to length material. Sites vary from an acre on the side of a mountain to dead flat acrage. A tilt base harvester would have been nice, but for our budget they are just plain worn out. We settled on this combination of skidder/loader rather than using a forwarder as it gave us the most flexibility. We can use the Koehring as a feller, or hand fall if it gets too steep. Throw in a bit of shovel logging with tree length skidding and landing processing and hopefully we are covered for most scenarios.

Fingers crossed.

Healesville, Victoria, Australia. About as far away as you can get from where this stuff is made, except for the head that is manufactured about 4 hours from here in NSW.

Good Lookin Equipment you have.. I know how ya feel on not having the Leveling Cab on the Feller.. But its impressive how steep you can get with the non leveling models
