First Logs of Spring

My son and I and the hound started a bit of logging last weekend,  logging trees on the property that are infected with root rot.  The root rot leads to lamination of the growth rings starting from the stump and heading up the tree.  The wood gets stained and rotten over time.  If you cut off the bottom 8 feet or so, you are usually back into good wood.

It's good to see you have your old jack up and running.It's also nice to see a family involved in what you like to do,my son can't get clear of the computer screen long enough to learn anything.
