does anybody know which way to adjust those two nuts on the spring to tighten up the brake band .. i cant remember which way u need to go. im cuttin big trees it keeps easin down i need to tighten it up  it pulled hard and we backed it off some and adjusted the bolt underneathe but she wont hold the big trees up so if anybody knows itd be great  ;)

The spring in the cylinder is what holds the load it is probably compressed or broken Take it out and measure its length against a new one. (call Lyons and get length for new one)  It is better to have the cable pull out than bend the shaft if you are over loading it. I found out the hard way $$..

I'm pretty sure you screw them down.You can tell if you look at it close.If you have the time , take some emery paper to the drum.

the springs not broke there some grease on the brake band still but its set to light now w the warmer weather its backlashin like crazy but my uncle tole me so were good .. thanks
