Check that firewood pile

Hey Guys

Got an emergency call from friend the other day, run out of firewood (it's end of winter here). Now she has a pile of Lawson Cypruss (Port Orford Cedar) sticks there from an old hedge removal, been lying there for a couple of years so it's pretty dry. Just needs a guy on the end of a chainsaw, easy enough. Anyway we lop a fair whack of it into firewood sized chunks and I notice a couple of logs on the top of the pile, about 8" dia, and still completely solid, so I grab them and wander back to the mill with these 'fenceposts'. Anyway trimmed em down to 3x1s and just put some thru the planer. Excellent, for firewood anyway, and smells sooo good.   :D

Nice looking stuff!  I'd be checking the firewood pile too 'cept we ain't got one!
