We figured we better have a good meal before we loose power.

Fried and boiled shrimp, fried catfish, fried okra, brocoli slaw, red sauce and tarter sauce. I'm stuffed like a tick on a blood clot.

Lee,

Hopefully you will fare well in the storm.  If the power goes out, you will have to immediately eat the leftovers!

That is the left overs. I hope we will be ok too. So far it looks good. Haven't had the freezing rain they called for yet. Just a little sleet and then some snow. Lindy just told me it's back to a soupy mix again now. May be eating that stuff yet.

Tell me about that broccoli slaw. I'm looking for a new way to fix broccoli. That looks like a fine meal. Taking the girls out tomorrow for boiled shrimp and fish for my youngest girl's birthday.

The brocoli slaw is a slaw made from the brocoli stems cut into juliene strips. We buy it ready made in the vegi section, although I have made it myself before. Dress it like you would cabbage slaw. It is an interesting and tasty change from the same old fare.

Lee,

Looks like y'all are still getting some bad stuff.  Hope you are making out OK.

We made out fine. A good bit of snow, for us any way, but no ice to speak of. It's still snowing right now but dropping of and should end up in a few more hours. Only damage was to the light weight gazebo over the hot tub. I looked out at it just before we took the four wheeler down to the pasture to play and thought I should knock the snow off. It was too late when we came back up. Oh well. Ate the rest of the fish and shrimp for lunch and had 15 bean soup for dinner with lots of ham hocks in. Never did loose power.
