just scored a really nice poulan pro 415 off c-list, another saw that looks new and runs new, i know these were made by jonsered, was wondering if any parts interchange, any input would be great ::)

Cut4fun

poulan 415 425 475 505, partner 660 7700, jonsered 2077 2083.

I have several threads on this, this is one of them. http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/poulan/air-injection-comparison-pp-505-415-475-jred-2083-2077/

again thanks cut4fun, i did look at the tread, my 415 must be newer, air filter cover is black, and it has a rubber tube from the back of the carb to a small chamber and then up to the air filter, the filter is pressed into the filter cover. i mainly wanted to know if av mounts and cylinder assy's can be used from the jreds.

Cut4fun

Yes. There is coil spring ones and rubber ones. Either will work.

Yes  on cylinder piston swaps too.

Yep that is the one like the 475 air filter. Some 415 was like your. Mine is like the 505.

At the Poulan gtg there was a 415 there like your and one like mine. I have no clue which was the newer one.

thanks for the extra info cut4fun, was reading some threads on another site about ignition coils on these saws, some high rev, some not, which is which?. and if mines the lower r.p.m. coil, do you know which coil is the high rev one?

Cut4fun

415 I have seen are black coils. Not rev limited.

Look through your starter cover and see. What is yours?

I have read that some of the green coils in 475 505 were rev limited and some green coils in them were not. 50/50 only one way to find out.

i found that i have parts breakdowns for these saws, except for the 445, the 415 and 475 are shown together, main diff., cylinder assy's, and the 425 and 505 together, again, cylinder assy's the main diff., also pto brg./ seal slightly differant, air filters are shown to be the same on the 415 and 475, and likewise with the 425 and 505, clyinder assy's share the same part # for the 415 and 475?, i thought the 475 was 77cc?, ignitions were also the same on the 415 and 475, your'e thoughts?

Cut4fun

Dont believe everything you read on a IPL. Coils are different on my 415 and air filter is different then the green coil 475 and filter of 475. It is all in the poulan threads as to why.

My 415 was bought new by the guy down the road. So I know nothing has been changed.

You have the one that is like a 475. Mine isnt and mine seemed stronger then the black cover one.  Who knows. Like I said, poulan was good at throwing curves.

415 65cc, 475 77cc, 505 82cc. I own all 3.
