On my way to the North Pole this year, I happened by an exciting nursery in Haubstadt, In.   It was started by Wendolynn Hipp in 1929 then run by his son, Jim, after his death.  Recently Jim has passed and the nursery is again in the hands of the whole family. 

If you find yourselve in Southwest In., on US64, in the neighborhood of Evansville,  Look for the sign, the topiary and the large animal statuary on the East side of the road.  Visiting will make you smile.

Can't blame those "Crossing Buffalo" for being slow if they're made of concrete. :)

Only free ranging buffalo I seen was up in Elk Island Park near Edmonton, Alberta.  They are big up close.  They got right of way as far as I'm concerned. :o
