Well, the Yankees won another one. Oh great.  ::)

Is it just us Twins fans or do most other people root for the other team when the Yankees play?  :)

Warbird

I was rooting for the Phillies.  I feel that the Yankees are akin to playing a card game with a stacked deck.

thompsontimber

Which was higher, the amount of the stimulus package or the amount of the yankees payroll?

Tom

I'm still rooting for Brooklyn. :-\

Gary_C

I've seen a NFL shirt around here that said this: I root for two teams, the Green Bay Packers and whoever is playing against the Vikings.

So I guess I could say that I root for the Twins and whoever is playing the Yankees.  ;D

In Boston during baseball season it is "anyone but the Yankees"

Jeff

I never root for em. From a kid, I never trusted anything involving the Yankees due to Mr. Applegate.

Yep, just one last tree to cut.   :)

You know how that goes. But I got out, eventually.  ::)

Nah we just have not  had the Yankees win the World series in nine years and we have very little to root for in New York.

Stonebroke

Warbird

Root for the Giants instead.  ;)

Gary I see that the Twins made a trade for JJ Hardy. They traded outfielder Gomez to Milwaukee for Hardy.

I confess to having little time to follow the Twins very closely, especially during the season.  And I know little of other players or teams.

The Twins season usually has more ups and downs than a roller coaster.  ::)  They just do not have the manpower or the money to compete with the likes of the hated disliked Yankees.  ;D

So who is this Hardy guy?

He was one of Milwaukee's best players  ::)  ::)  ::)

I guess we weren't crappy enuff we better trade away some more of our talent so I never feel like going to a game  ::) ::)

I live and die by baseball especially the Brewers. ;D

JJ Hardy is a shortstop, he was drafted in 2001 by the brewers. He was and is a great player, he made it to the All-Star game in 2007. He had a bad year last year and the Brewers more or less gave up on him. >:(  On Friday they traded him to the Twins for a outfielder named Gomez.
